As a foodie, I have searched and tried quite a lot of restaurants in Danang. And this is my list of a good selection of authentic Vietnamese restaurants. (My favourite options for western cuisine can be found here: http://nguyenthanhxuanvi.com/restaurants-that-you-have-to-try/) I’m pretty sure you can hardly find any further information. Therefore, prepare some Vietnamese or show them your choice from the menu I’m going to write down if you want to order as they have no English experience.
Breakfast
Please be aware that the restaurants listed underneath serve savoury breakfast as our culture is to eat out and have a very big savoury meal in the morning.

- Mỳ Quảng bé Ba (Bé Ba rice flat noodles Quảng style)

The restaurant has no address but it’s very easy to find in the map below. You can go to the corner of Trần Đức Thảo st and Phan Trọng Tuệ st. However, T-junction between Xô Viết Nghệ Tĩnh st and Trần Đức Thảo st is a more common for grab/taxi or bus (No.8), then walk there (Only one minute). It’s a very small and “poor-looking” restaurant located next to an old ancestor building.

Mỳ Quảng is rice flat noodles in Vietnamese broth cooked with Vietnamese curry including turmeric, four different spicies and one of the options below. My favourite part is a big side dish of veggies. And don’t forget to squeeze some lime into the bowl and mix them well before you eat it.

Have you heard the “Mỳ Quảng song”? If the answer is no and you are in Danang, it’s time for you to play this song as Mỳ Quảng is the pride of Đà Nẵng and Quảng Nam people. “Everyday for breakfast, I wanna eat Mỳ Quảng”
And I found the best Mỳ Quảng at Bé Ba restaurant thanks to my brother who has even better selections of food in Đà Nẵng.
- Bánh bèo cô Hoa
- It is difficult but easy to find at the same time. It’s difficult for me to show you as Danang has changed every day and the google map pictures are too old for me to use. Besides, It’s located in an alley of another alley. I think the area is a maze and you can get lost there. However, It’s easy to find because it’s close to Big C and Parkson which are the most popular buildings in Danang.
- Go to Parkson Vinh Trung Plaza (the side on Ông Ích Khiêm st), then you will see Big C supermarket on the right and an alley on the left of the Parkson building. Go into the alley and turn into the first left, keep going for about 200 meters. The lady “cô Hoa” selling Bánh Bèo will sit on the right of the street.
- Opening time: About 8am until around 9.30am. Closed for 3 vegan days of Vietnamese buddhist. She also sells in the evening in Cồn market. But you have to ask around to know where she sits.
- Menu
- Bánh Bèo tôm (Bánh bèo with prawn mince): 15,000 VND <$10. This is my favourite and I often have 2-3 dishes for my breakfast.
- Bánh bèo thịt (Bánh bèo with pork mince): 15,000 VND. It’s also very yummy, but one dish maybe enough for me.
- Mỳ Gà Cô Chi
- Address: 7-1 Phan Châu Trinh.”Cô Chi” is located at the corner between Lê Lợi st and Phan Đình Phùng st at the intersection of Lê Lợi, Phan Chu Trinh, Phan Đình Phùng and Pasteur st.
- This is a modern version of Bánh Mỳ in Đà Nẵng.
- (I don’t own these two photos. They are from Foody VN)
- 4. Bánh mỳ chấm
- Address: Chu văn An and Huỳnh Thúc Kháng st, Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng.
- Menu:
Bánh mỳ chấm thập cẩm (Bánh mỳ dipping with home-made oy sauce, pate, mayo, eggs and ham) 20,000 VND ~$10
Bánh mỳ chấm trứng (Bánh mỳ dipping with home-made soy sauce sauce, mayo and eggs) 15,000 VND - 5. You can also go to Breakfast streets: Huỳnh Thúc Kháng st, Hải Châu district or Lê Thanh Nghị st, Hải Châu district.
