1. Cồn Market’s food court for street food
Cồn market may be the most popular and famous market of Danang people. It’s located in the intersection of Hùng Vương st and Ông Ích Khiêm st. You can access the food court from the gate on Hùng Vương st. Be ready to experience the best local food when you go there.

Side gate accessing to food court
For lunch, food stalls are located in the food court while the access from the gate to the food court will become a food street for dinner for only 2 hours from approximate 5pm to 7pm.
I often go there for “Phá Lấu” at the left corner of the gate and Bánh bèo. Phá Lấu is very authentic but not recommended as it includes liver and offals.
However, there are a wide range of yummy food for you to try such as Ram cuốn cải (Central styled Spring rolls rolled in mustard salad), Bánh canh (Crab/Prawn/Pork Soup with fish cakes), Bánh xèo (Central styled Savoury pancakes), bánh căn (Central styled savoury mini pancakes), Chè (Sweet soup including different beans, corn, taro, banana or jelly in coconut milk),…

1. Bún thịt nướng và Bánh xèo Hồng Nga (Hồng Nga grilled pork and Vietnamese savoury pancake)
2. Address: K178/10 Hoàng Diệu st, Quận Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng. At night, they move to the big street (Hoàng Diệu st) and locate opposite the alley.
3. Madame Lan Restaurant
Address: 4 Bạch Đằng, Thạch Thang, Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng
This restaurant targets at foreigners (Korean), so the taste is very western-friendly. However, it’s still Vietnamese enough for me to enjoy. They have most of Vietnamese delicacies across the country in the menu. There are also a wide variety of food for you to choose.
4. Seafood.
Danang is famous for fresh and cheap seafood. I find them too noisy, so I seldom go out for seafood. If I do, CHÂU SƠN 1 restaurant will be my destination.
It’s a small seafood restaurant located in a little far from the city. It’s very busy after 5pm, so if you want to get a seat, come there at about 4.30pm.
Address: Hải sản Châu Sơn 1, No. 21 NẠI TÚ 2 street, Sơn Trà district, Đà Nẵng. (The T-junction of Nại Tú 2 and Võ Trường Toản st, it’s opposite Võ Trường Toản st)
The menu is varied and it’s very Vietnamese. Try “tôm xào bơ tỏi” (Prawn with garlic and butter) that is my no.1 fauvorite dish. OMG, I really miss Vietnamese food. I have to learn how to cook this dish for lunch.
(I do not own any of these photos which are from Google map and Facebook: Quán ngon Đà Thành)
